Natural Botryoidal Iridescent Hematite Specimens
Turgite is not a distinct mineral but a mix of goethite and hematite that exhibits a natural iridescence, notes. It forms as a secondary alteration product of iron-rich minerals and is well known from only a handful of localities worldwide. Specimens from Cocomorachic, Chihuahua, Mexico, are especially admired for their brilliant luster and intense play of colors, which shift dramatically under different lighting.
Turgite specimens are popular with collectors and are also used in spiritual and meditation practices for grounding and energy balancing.
