This is a fantastic specimen of Gypsum var. Selenite from the famed Zona del Silencio (Zone of Silence) in Coahuila, Mexico. This unique Selenite is often called "Fishtail" or "Angel Wing" Selenite because of its distinctive V-shaped formations, which are the result of multiple twinned crystals stacked together.

  • Fluorescence: The specimen exhibits a beautiful light blue fluorescence and a lingering green phosphorescence (it glows after the UV light is removed).
